Like I said my stomach is already showing, I haven't had alot of other symtoms, besides sore breast. With my first child, I wasn't sick either. I was going to wait to tell my family, but the first thing they said when they saw me was, "Are you pregnant?" because my belly is already showing. I had a postive test on Aug 5, even though I shouldn't have started until the 10th of Aug. Also, I tested positive last month, on Jul.7, but on the 10th of July I got my period(and tested negative), so I figured it was an early misscarriage. Is it possible I am really futher along than I thought? Or do you think it may be twins this time?

Also, my husband's mother is a twin, and I have twins on my side of the family. I have a doctors appointment in a week. I know that there is really know way to know until you have an US. I was just curious for answers.

When I say HUGE, I mean that it is very noticible and NONE of my pants fit. Even some of my pj pants are tight.

This could be a sign of multiples, especially because you tested positive so early. Or, it could be a molar pregnancy. In any case, I imagine the doctor will notice on measurement and want to do an ultrasound. Good luck, and being big for dates, and having higher levels of HCG can mean twins or more. With twins, many women get severe and exaggerated pregnancy symptoms, like severe morning sickness. If it isn't multiples, try to be conscious of what you are eating, and eat sensibly. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Generally, in early pregnancy, the size of the stomach is not a signal of twins, but a higher than normal HCG level is. That is the first tip-off. many people show much earlier in second and subsequent pregnancies than in the 1st pregnancy because the abdominal muscles are not as tight as they were the first time around. However, with the twins in the family-you could be. Also, did the Ob do a dating sonogram to tell how far along you were. There could definitely be a dating issue with possible conception in June or July.

It is possible you are carrying twins. Especially if it runs in the family, but they say it skips a generation, so if your mother had twins, its not likely, but if your grandmother had twins it is likely. That may just be an old wives tale, not sure, thats just what they say. I would have an ultrasound done- they can estimate by the size of the fetus how far along you are. It is possible you are a few months pregnant and you had your period for the first couple months- that happens. Go get an ultrasound for the best answer. Nobody on here is going to be able to tell you without looking inside you.

It's possible, but not very probable. When I was pregnant with my oldest son (he's #3 out of 4), I went from a size 3 to a size 12 by the time I was 8 weeks! He was 15 days early and weighed 8 lbs. 7 1/2 oz.; the Dr. said that if he would've waited, my son would have be 12 pounds easily!
Good luck!

You may want to go and check with a specialist...I had the same thing happen to me...My MD said I was pregnant, and when I went to the OB/GYN, he found a tumor the size of a basketball growing inside me...It was a dermoid cyst that wasn't cancerous, thank God!

With my 2nd & 3rd children I started showing very early. 6 weeks & my clothes didn't fit anymore. After the first child your body knows that it will be needing growing room for the baby & starts that process.

It is possible for you to be farther along then you think you are. some women have their period while their pregnant. so i guess you'll find out when you go to the doctor office. its very rare for a pregnancy test to give a false positive.if it gives any false answers it usually a false negative.

Ummmmm, 4 weeks and it is less than the size of your thumb; I doubt you are showing unless you have a litter of 20 or something.

At only 4 weeks, nothing shows. Even if you had quintuplets, you shouldn't see any bulge at only 4 weeks. So if you are pregnant, I'd guess you're further along.
