UK has become so dependent on the US since the famous second world war alliance. The tendency by the subsequent British government at paying back Americans for their good help has been systematically turned to psychophancy and booticking. Americans, no doubt have made a mince-meat of the situation and because the Jews have found it difficult to trust Britain they have turned their dominance of American politics into advantage by ensuring that Britain is completely dependent on the US. So if i may be very blunt in answering your question, "yes Britain is an appendage of US of A.

Reverse that ... The post 9/11 US policy in the Middle East is the same policy of the British and French after World War One.

Britain and America have this so called special relationship that seems to be becoming more and more one sided in recent times. I would like to see Britain take a more independant stance, but as we too are dependant on middle eastern oil reserves, then our interests are being served too.
I would hate to see Britain become more like the USA in regards to social, education and health policy - so in that respect we are totally separate from our american cousins.

Because of Blairs ***-licking,Britain is seen as just another US state,Blair does not control UK foreign policy.Bush didn't need Blair at the meeting with the French when trying to agree a cease-fire deal,so he didn't bother inviting Blair.Bush knew that what-ever he said Blair would agree to.*** -licking Tony was kept out of the loop.Shame on Labour mps,who put their careers before their country, they should have chucked Blair out ages ago.

Not at all; if anything, it's the other way around, at least historically.

Here's how I think of it: Britain is Mum and Dad. They've been around a long time, and have seen just about everything. The U.S. is their teenage offspring, who is every bit as clever as Mum and Dad, but who has a driver's license and a new Hummer.

Great Britain and the US are allies and both independent nations. They both have forward thinking leaders that have learned much from the past history. They are also not going to fall for the smoke and mirrors of the BS in the Middle East.

Absolutely not. Britain stands on its own two feet, ALWAYS, and anyone who suggests the English are weak has a dimwit's grasp of history.

BUT...it's true that,at the moment, England's Prime Minister has chosen to super-glue his lips to George Bush's ***.

I suggest you try and clarify your addled thoughts and improve your spelling.

The present British government is ***-licking the fascists in the White House mainly because Blair is looking forward to some lucrative US lecture tours when he gets bunged out.

I don't think so. I would think Canada was much closer to being one than the US. The Canada is way more dependant on the US than the UK is give the size of the market it represents for them.
