this movie is so scary, it scarred me for life, my 40 year old dad still cringes at the sound of the bells from that movie!!!!!!!!!!! when i watched ot a few years ago, i couldn't walk to my bathroom without every light in the house being on!, i couldn't sleep for about 1 month, i couldn't sleep properly for 3!, you thought the ring, or texas chainsaw massacer were scary movies, they are like Alice In WOnderland compared to the vey scariest movie: The Excorcist (original version, not the newest one, the scary thing is, it's based on a true story

It has to be the Exorcist. No other movie had freaked out so many people during the 70s.

The Exorcist was the scariest. "What lies beneath" and "When a Stranger calls" most suspenseful.
