I assume you are in the USA. If so, you can mail a letter weighing up to one ounce for the price of a $.39 stamp. If you have any concerns, take it to the post office and have them weigh it and apply the correct postage.
Good luck with your shipment.

If you're in the US and know how much the package weighs, check the postage here:
http://postcalc.usps.gov/
You can also send a CD by Media Mail to save money. It goes a little slower, but it can be a lot cheaper than 1st Class.

In order to successfully send your cousin a cd I would suggest putting 4 stamps on the package. But because the weight of the package can vary depending on the packaging used, l would suggest you go to the post office. They can weigh it an give you the exact amount of postage to make sure it makes iot to its destination.

Just go to the post office. If you use stamps you are going to waste money, because the incremental increase in postage doesn't correspond w/ the price of stamps. In other words, bulk discount for heavier items.

i think you need just three. i just got a cd from philly i bought on amazon market place and the postage is 1.10. (its in a padded envelope) so if your just sending a regular cd an small envelope mabye 70 cents to be on hte safe side.

Fred, it might be wise to tell us:
- which country you're in
- and where your cousin is
Also, you're presumably asking not how many stamps, but what the postage cost is, right?

Use media mail and five stamps should do it. Four stamps is cutting it close.

You go to the post office, they weigh it, and then send it. They do this every day.
