Ah, central locking... Vunerable to clued-up thieves who know the particular way around your cars' system, prone to failing, leaving the car unlockable, or locked(!), with expensive electrical relays and solenoids which are often model-specific, only available from the main dealer, at huge prices, until the wonderful day you ask and they can't supply them any more... Or manual locks, which just keep on working, as on a 29 year old car of mine... I know which I prefer.
