personally i love gentlemen. they instantly get to round 2. haha.
you should also be honest. don't lie just so you think she would be impressed. if the truth comes out, you will look worst than a loser. so don't even try.
if you have not tried something, just say you have not tried it. if you have never travelled before, than just say that you have never travelled.
think about it, if you have not done something and she has, then you have something to talk about! so yeah, be honest.

Be nice! Just be yourself. Girls hate it when you are just so annoyingtrying to be impressive. If all of that is bull to you, just buy her something, its the little things that count...good luck.
