Clever. I see the other answerers have failed to see the humor in this. And people say I take things too literally...

Yes, Its fair. Even in the metaphysical world there are rules.

WHy not just look into your own soul and find the anwsers?

The truth is always within.

Yes, it was fair that you were reprimanded. By looking into the soul of the boy next to you, you unconsciously erected a barrier between you and that boy whereby you saw him as "other" than yourself. Instead of focusing inward and expanding your awareness from there, you looked outside yourself -- to the boy next to you -- for answers. Therefore, you were not able to see the multi-faceted uniqueness of your soul and unity of that soul with all beings including the soul of the boy next to you.

Sure it is very Fair ..
Maybe he looked inside your soul too ..
I am sure now why you failed
Maybe because he had wrong answers
Or maybe because he said inside himself ( What an angel i am setting Beside )
So you felt great about it and forgot about the test and asked him out to eat some Lizards :P

if you have that power and use it to cheat, then you should be ashamed of yourself. yes it is fair, and the fact that you need to ask, means you need an ethics course not metaphysics.

It sounds more than fair to me as cheaters should always be reprimanded.

I had a student pray to God for the answers to the test and told her that was cheating. God knows all, so he knows the answers to the test and that is obtaining outside help and thus cheating.
