The question was asked years ago because people could not explain some things, such as God, did God come first or did something create God. Did this happen first or did that happen first, so the question came about - "which came first, the chicken or the egg" because the chicken lays the egg then the egg becomes a chicken that lays an egg that becomes a chicken and on and on.
The reason for the question is to get people to understand that it does not matter which came first, it's here.

Hi,
I learned in vacation bibile school at our catholic church that it is stated : the chicken or hen(whatever you called it ) came first ,than the baby chicks..Its like.......a girl grows up and becomes a woman marries a man, gets pregnant and has a baby or babies.......How could an egg come first,it is impossible,afterall the hen or chicken has to sit on the eggs before they will hatch..if there isn't any chicken or hen to lay on the eggs, you would just have an egg that you can eat.......I hope that i helped you solve the mystery of: Which came first the chicken or the egg......

In your question the egg was mentioned first then the correct answer is the egg.
A hen came from a hen-egg so logicly there is no Hen just a mature Hen-egg.

The hen, because if the egg would of came first then what would of sat on it? I just makes more sense.

see neither hen nor egg came 1st.
actually u can say they co-existed.hens family came through revolution.actually in past only aqa-life was there.in main-land when scarcity of water started water specis started to adopt to live without water. in this practise land-life came into existence.slowly slowly they became permanent animal of land or soil.similary some ituation may came like sparse avil of food etc which triggered the revolution of sky.in this way bird could go distant place and enjoy food.
so their child or egg and herself was the part of co-revolution and modified together.
so dear both came at same time.
you know both are complementry to each other.
you cant draw any boarder-line between them.
it is like you and your respiration that have married to each other and co-existed.. u cant seperate them.

in my own theory.,.,i would say,.,god make the egg and hen in the same time.,.cause if i say that god make the egg first,the egg cannot survive cause the egg need the heat of the hen.,if i would say that the hen came first i dont answer ur question.,.,

scientifically speaking, egg came first because it is believed that the chicken is the descendant of the archeoptyx, a prehistoric flightless bird.
biblically, it is the hen because it was not cited in the bible that God created eggs, he created animals of all sorts but no eggs
