It's happened for yearss and its very frustrating and upsetting when you are trying so hard to conceive. Does this happen to anyone else? Is it possible to always carry a low level of HCG hormone, even if you are not pregnant?

Some brands are known for thier evaporation lines and sometimes they appear within the time limit of the test even, and it's frustrating, I agree. if you have a beta HCG drawn you would know if you have any HCG in your system, as it's not normal unless you are indeed pregnant.
Check out the brand of test(s) you are using on this website, they review them and test for evap lines and such.

I'm not for sure if it is possible to carry hcg when you aren't pregnant. There are of course false positives. But if you read the little paper that comes w/most pregnancy tests it will say that one line may be lighter than the other one & it is still a positive. I'm due w/a little girl next month & most of the tests I took one line was darker than the other. Maybe you are pregnant. Good luck. I know my friend tried for a while & then her docs put her on Clomid (sp?) & she got pregnant w/in 2 months. Maybe you could look into that. Sorry if I got off subject.

Are you sure you are not looking at an evaporation line. The line should be present during the first 5 minutes. If you wait 1/2 hour or so, you will see an evaporation line that does not signal pregnancy. If you are really getting that second line, try a digital test which will say pregnant or not pregnant. If it reads pregnant and you are not, go to see an OB/gyn.

HCG is not a hormone found in your blood when there is not a pregnancy. It sounds like what you are seeing was an evaporation line, although generally a faint positive is still positive.

yes, it is very much possible if you have any tumour with your uterus and other related organs so it is best option for you to check up by a gynocologist.
