the windshield is in a way glued in, a bead of urethane is put on the opening (applied through a caulk gun) then the windshield is placed in, to remove special tools are used like a cutting wire and cutting type knife, the major problem for an inexperienced person would be scratching the paint when cutting the old windshield out and causing rust to occur later, you are better off having a professional glass company do the work, the labor charges aren't that high to justify doing it yourself

Installing a windshield is best left to a professional for safety reasons. You don't want it to pop out in a collision or rollover.
If you already have the glass, a pro can put it in for around $50.00

Cut the old one out with a piece of piano wire or with an actual auto glass razor, then trim off all the old uruthane then replace by putting a generous amout of the urethane all around the frame then have a buddy help you set the new one in, while gently pressing down all the way around to get a good seal and it helps to put a couple pieces of tape from the top of the glass to the top of the cab to prevent it from sliding down while curing

You better use screws to hold that new windshield in there. You wont do it right. Got to have the experience to do it correctly. Or you might one day hit the brakes real hard and there goes your new windshield. Flying.

Unless you are familiar with the procedure, you can do more damage than good, and it may cost you more than if you had a professional install it for you.
