They were both created by God. The earth and all of the other planets didn't come from the sun. That's one of those wise sounding scientific theories that have no verifiable proofs to back it up.

Just think what an amazing "coincidence" it is that the earth is at exactly the right distance and has the perfect axial tilt to provide for the temperature range and seasonal variations that allow life to exist on this planet. Then when you consider that there is no way that inorganic matter could have arranged itself into complex structures just waiting for a lightning bolt to suddenly impart a life force to that mass like in some prehistoric Frankenstein movie you realize that we are not some "cosmic accident".

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

As far as we can theorize, and bear in mind nobody can prove this, the Sun and the Earth, both formed more or less at the same time in galactic terms (1 galactic rotation takes millions of years), as gas and dust fell together in space.

Everything comes from somewhere but all that you have to remember to keep your life simple is that everything goes in a cycle. That is, wherever anything comes from it eventually returns to and then completes the cycle again.
