i'd say, an american haunting was a good idea gone bad...it could have been really scary, but they dropped the ball somewhere. it was still ok...just not a great movie.

It was ok. I had read a book about the Bell witch and the movie was fairly close to the book. The book was written based on information in a journal that was found in an attic. The journal was written by a man who knew the Bell family and had witnessed a lot of the "supernatural" events that the family had experienced. As always, I think the book was better, but the movie wasn't bad.

It's a very good movie if you like something a little scary but won't cause nightmares. It was very interesting. Not your typical horror flick.
