Yes, absolutely. Take a look at:

http://afterabortion.org (click on "research").

You can read the stories of other women who have aborted children here:

http://www.abort73.com/HTML/I-G-2-testimony.html
http://abortiontv.com/Words/truestoriesfrom-mothers.htm

I recommend a free post-abortion counseling program available at http://www.healinghearts.org Your friend can sign up for a very good online post-abortion study there and be paired with an email counselor. Most of the counselors have aborted children themselves and can help.

ABSOLUTELY! First of all getting pregnant has a huge effect on your hormones, then to have an abortion really throws your hormones out of wack. It is very common for a woman to feel depressed after an abortion, it will take some time for your hormones to get back to normal. Go back for your check-up with your doctor, and discuss the issues that you have. Give your body plenty of vitamins and rest right now, your body needs it. ( and drink a lot of water)

It absolutely can, many women go through a stage of grief, and mourning after the act has taken place.
Its probably one if not the toughest decision a woman can go through - and that will impact heavily on someones emotional well being.
Anyone in this position I truly recommend counselling before and possibly after from an independent source = someone who will not have a preformed opinion on the matter of abortion. A family planning clinic will help I believe.

Yes, I have never met a woman that had an abortion that didn't suffer some ill effects from it, be they mental or physical.

well yes! it definitely will. Plus, there are chances youmight never get a kid again if a child is aborted the first time. Heard a few cases, don't know how far it is true!. Consult a professional.

Often it does, more counselling should be provided before and afterwards. Despite what the pro-lifers may say, abortion is a decision that no one takes easily.

yes of course it can - common sense should tell you that. she is killing an unborn life that never had a chance. Do you think the woman would just skip to the dr office and have it done and then skip on back to her life as if she hadn't just commited a senseless murder?? No. and she shouldn't.

Yes, definitely. In addition to all the hormonal upheaval, it can be like a bereavement. The person has suffered the death of a child.
