I'm cosmopolitan, residing in America. I've met Filipinos throughout my life. They seem friendly, intelligent, laid back (relaxed). I've read about Philippines. This country seems to consist of many many islands, some with mountains and rain forest.
The capital is Manila, a large metropolis. There are many languages spoken in the Philippines. The official language is Tagalog, with the most speakers. I'm guessing in the millions.
I think scientists and scholars have come from the Philippines. I have the feeling there is much more to learn, which would take a life time.

A good country that have many proud people. Thank goodness Ferdinand & Imelda Marcos left the country.

im from the phils and although most foreigners dont like it in our country, i love it because beyond all the pollution and traffic, you could see that they are people who respect the elders and are hard working as well....some foreigners just see the bad side of the country, like the red light districts and the crime rate and judge the country as is....but that's only one class of people...what about the middle class and the socialites? they arent bad really...they're just normal people...
