In life you will only really ever have two or three people you'd call friends. These are people who know more about you than you do yourself. You will trust them implicably, no matter what.

However, the majority of young people seem to think that the number of friends they have is truly large and will quote 50 60 or more especially near christmas when it becomes obvious that they simply have to write out a shop full of cards for all there friends.

In reality the majority of these people are passing friends or acquaintences, and once school and college days are over, it is likely that the number of friends you've made will be counted on one hand.

If you'd like to broaden your circle of passing friends maybe you should look towards a hobby and join a group or class.

If you feel taken the loan of, join an assertiveness class so you can say learn say no, and mean it.

You sound like me. I am exactly the same way but I have limits. You give in because u want to be accepted and when they come around wanting stuff u let them and feel used afterwards. You are a kind person and people know that and so they try to take advantage of u because they don't think you will do anything about it. I have a friend that always always only comes around when she wants something from me and I've been friends with her for almost 11 yrs. And it was just recently that I started putting my foot down and saying no. I now hardly see her. All I'm trying to say is when they ask u for something say no. it's easier than we think. Don't feel guilty either it's your right to say no. After all they probley aren't afraid to say no to you. So do it too.

They only bother you when they want something because you let them. Start saying no, and that will stop. It's nice to help your friends but sometimes they will take advantage of you. You must tell them that you are too busy, or have other plans. It's hard at first, but you'll get used to it and have more time for yourself.

I have the same problem but the thing is that you have to show them that you are not a pushover and that you can easily find new and loyal friends. Its so easy for other people to tell you to say no to your friends but not so simple for you.As long as you stick your ground and say no when they ask you to them a favour then they will realise your not easily walked upon.Try to find new friends by maybe becoming a pen pal that way you don't see that person as often and there will be plenty of things for you to chat about.

Hey girl, sounds like those friends of your aren't all that you think.... but your giving it to them because, well in your eyes they are your friends and its the same for anyone, if your friend needs some help, advice etc, you help them cause thats what good friends do... what you need to do is find someone who will return that favour when you need a hand, what you really dont need is someone who will just walk away leaving you on your own till they next need their help. Ditch Them!! You totally deserve better girl =)

Because you have very low self-esteem and an overwhelming fear of being alone. Get counselling and get some real friends. You need to lose these toxic, chronic users. Parasites are a drag.

Because you want to be liked and accepted. Don't be that way. You probably have many great things to offer people. Find friends who want to be with you because they like you and your company, not because of what you can give them.

You're a ragdoll.

You're picked up to be played with and have fun until they tire of you and toss you aside. Lonesome, waiting for the next time they hold you up again. Come to life ragdoll and have fun without them.
