probably at take off or landing before it reaches 1000 feet

That would have to be a really lucky shot to hit the aircraft at all, and the aircraft would have to be low and slow -- near the airport where it was coming in for a landing.

Now, if the tank had an "anti-missile" machine gun mounted on it, ... different story! These machine guns fire a huge number of dense rounds in a short period of time.

prbably only just as it took off with a very good comander and gunner . The tank you have lead the aircraft very presily te fire at he near perfect ment . once in the air it ouwld be nearly impossible .

te tank does not move its turret fast enough and the shell will not travel fast enoug to hit a flying aircraft .
that is why missles are used . they can be guides in a number of ways.

Possible but improbable. The angle of the tank's main gun only raises high enough to hit ground targets within its range of fire. Also, the targeting mechanism is look for ground targets at ground speed, not several hundred mph the plane would be flying. Basically, the plane would have to be flying low enough to get in the tank's gun trajectory, and then it would have to be a hell of a lucky shot.

If the aircraft is still in the runway on stationary position. But once it take off, there will be slim chances, because tank shell are not guided unlike the missile.

certainly not while the plane is at any height, the tanks elevation rules that out and not while the plane is at any speed, the time to acquire a sight stops that. Put simply, tanks don't do things they weren't designed to do and although they can have laser targeting, their shells lack the speed, distance and aquisition capabilities to knock a plane from flight.

at a low enough altitude a commercial aircraft can be taken out with a high powered rifle if hit in the right spot.

Sure it is..but the possibility of having a tank gunner that could accurately fire a shot at a target moving at the speeds they do is like...a billion to 1?

Yes, if it can hit the aircraft in a critical place. A handgun can do the same.

Probability is rather low though.

It's called the golden BB and if the two objects meet in the sky then the plane could come down - but it's unlikely

If equipped with ground to air missiles, sure. At low altitudes it would be easier with the machine guns.
