I wish we could all understand what all the anthems mean. It's part of each country history, that lives in the present and project you to the future. You probably don't know but Mexico's national anthem has 12 verses but only 2 (short version) it's the one that gets played on all international competitions. I like Spain's one. I like the melody but don't know the words as well as the French... The US has different versions (everyone sings it different) which is OK but losses what an National Anthem should have: identity.

I think Italy's national anthem is the coolest. I'm not just saying that cuz I'm Italian, but it's really cool. But in second place i would have to say the french national anthem. But Italy is still in first!

I think the Canadian National Anthem has a great simple melody - - you can sing it softly or belt it out at a hockey game!! It is sung in English and French or a mixture of. I also like the Italian one - starts off slow and then by the end it is very passionate - which is true to each and every Italian's hearts

Apart from my own (of course) I reckon the Spanish National Anthem is great. It's unique in that it's the only one which has no words, just music.
I only learnt that a few days ago, thank you for giving me the oppurtunity to use that information :-)

Well for me Spain and Portugal cause that is where I am from but I think that the French anthem is just really good cause the tune is awesome.

Any hockey fan, regardless of citizenship, will tell you it's the Canadian national anthem. I think I learned it as a kid before our own :-) Those Montreal fans are the best - search YouTube for Montreal Anthem and you'll find something truly awesome...

i like poland's anthem(my country)
but apart from that i really like brazil's and portugal. i like brazil's because it has a cool melody and i watch a lot of brazil games, so i'm familiar with it. i like the portuguese anthem for the same reason.

Ghana. and then Brasil and Italy. and then Cameroun. because we rule. the US Anthem is the worst cause it's like a little TOO high. but i can reach the really high note w/out my voice cracking. YAY ME!!
