Give him a chance to prove himself, at least he has selected some decent players like Darren Bent & Dean Ashton. but sadly David Beckham has been dropped.

at least, he will perform better than Sven!!

It does not matter who the England manager is they will never ever win anything!
But does it really matter because for the money he is getting he has nothing to lose...so what all the players are over-rated and over-paid, and you get abused daily by the media....for that money you get expenses paid holidays, free cars, houses and you get to spend most days out in the sun with your mates kicking a ball around...sounds like a great job to me.

Mr charismatic ain't he ;) give him eight months and 'el tel' will take over because i know thats what all you england fans are thinking of and hoping for. But you still wont win the world cup whoever is in charge

i like him cuz he is doing what is best for england football and testing new people to be in the squad and he is making good choices.. but not the captain, that should have been steven gerrard

he was the safe bet. no controversy, i bet venables will be a lot more than his right hand man! i am sure venables could have got the job again if it wasnt for his dodgy business dealings!

I'm reserving my right to judge him on the results of matches, although I do think he is alright, I just hope he is more emotional than Eriksson.

Will start out good like all his predecessors but only time will tell.
New team definitely on the attack side.
