This is actually two double questions:
1- a: Do you believe in god and why?
b: What is the reason for your belief?
2- a: Do you agree that some people use belief in god to make money?
b: If you do not agree, why not?
1- a: I do not believe or disbelief in a creator god. It is not an important question for me. This does not mean that I do not respect the people or the beliefs of those who do believe. It also does not mean that I am incapable of practising moral, ethical or spiritual values.
b: There are many reasons to believe, including education, family tradition, personal experience and perception. All of the reasons are valid to the individual.
2- a: I think it does happen that some people use belief to make money. It is not the majority of people involved in belief communities, but it does happen in the same way that it happens in every sphere of activity that is engaged in by human beings, but the vast majority of people of faith, (any faith), are sincere, loving and compassionate.
b: I do not agree that if some people engage in an activity for the wrong motivations that either the activity or the the actions of others engaged in the activity are invalidated. This is what I think you are implying by your question. For example, imagine a situation where people are starving and a food distribution programme is set up and people contribute food and money toward that programme. It so happens that although food is distributed, some of the people involved in the programme enrich themselves through different forms of corruption. This does not mean that either the food distribution programme or the people giving to it are corrupt.

How can you not believe in God? Einstein once said that the universe was so ordered that the hand of a supreme being had to be controlling it. How many mind-blowing sunsets have you experienced? Ever checked the countryside during a full moon? how many stunning mountains and waterfalls have you ever seen? You know, of course, there is as much chance of us and the world coming into existence by sheer chance as there is of a roomful of monkies with word processors accidentally writing a Shakespearian play? Wake up, girl, and smell the roses. Go well and God Bless!

I don't know how it is possible to look at the things around you and NOT believe in a supreme being, whether or not you call it God or not. Yes, I believe because I want to believe. It makes my life worth living and I have only to look at a newborn child to KNOW that only God could make a new person. Sometimes, of course, I wander and feel like my faith is not strong enough. That's when I pray the most!

god was created by man, not the other way round, it is not a belief, it's just like a pair of hand-me-down trousers,,,,, how can there possibly be a god with all of the evil in this world, seeing is believing......
Nick ,,,,,,,,,,,,, you have taken care of you not god, your focal point is a mythical being and the bible is a book transcribed and translated by people for their own uses to be in control
