When you discover that your bag has been lost or damaged, a claim must be filed at the nearest British Airways airport office.
All efforts will be made to resolve the matter at that station. If you are a USA resident and the matter has not been resolved after 10 days, the file will be forwarded to the Baggage Claim Center (see below).

Please allow 6-8 weeks for settlement.

If you would like to check on the arrival of delayed bags, please call Baggage Services at 1-800-828-8144. Be sure to have your ten digit file reference (e.g. JFKBA12345) available to expedite your call.

If you arrive into the United States please send copies of your ticket, boarding pass, Property Irregularity Report and all receipts for expenses claimed to:

British Airways - Baggage Claims
75-20 Astoria Boulevard
Jackson Heights, New York 11370
tel: 1 800-828-8144
fax: 1 347-418-4395

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Found this on the British Airways website and it's 1 800-828-8144. You need your baggage claim number as well.
