Has anyone tried acupuncture for neck/upper back and shoulder pain? I am sick of taking all these pills, that make me feel groggy and tired. Plus the pain is really dulled, not gone. I was thinking of trying acupuncture. Opinions anyone????

Acupuncture not only relieves pain, it also promotes healing. Have you ruled out a heart or stomach imbalance? The muscles around the neck and upper back are often affected by imbalances in these organs. A good acupuncturist will not only address the pain issue, but will also address the underlying causes. Acupuncture can also work on emotional, mental, or spiritual issues. I actually asked my acupuncturist to release my fears and their effects on my physical body. Don't know for sure if it was the actual treatment or my intention for the session, but they're gone!

You really have have to think of this issue...

I am sure what you want to do here is to completely fix the origin of the problem, rather than a temporary solution.

Acupuncture would definitely work, but how it works is that it just fools your body for a week or so that it doesn't hurt. Techinically speaking, it's just playing with your nervous system so you cannot feel the pain for a while.

but that's not what you want, right? you want to fix the problem completely!

the reason your neck and shoulder hurt is because your neck and shoulder muscle are too weak to support your skeleton, and also because you do not have a good posture everyday.

so in order to fix this problem you just need to do the following things. Very simple.

1. Make sure you have a good posture all the time. when you work, when you walk, when you sleep, when you eat, when you play, when you read. The good posture is that you keep your neck and back straight, shoulders wide open.

2. Make sure you stretch your neck and shoulder muscle everyday. 15 minutes per day will do.

3. Make sure you do some muscle exercise of those area. You really need to strengthen your muscle there. Right now your muscle is too weak, that's why it hurts.

4. Drink 8 cups of water per day. Water meaning, like tap clean water. not soda, coffee, juice etc. I am telling you you will feel so good after you do this for a while.

so follow my advice for the next one month or so. I am sure your pain will be soon before you even notice it!
good luck!

I personally have never tried it but have thought about it since I have herniated discs in my back and am also sick of taking all of these pain pills to kill the pain and once they wear off you are hurting just as bad if not worse than you felt before you took them and not to mention that they are highly addictive. I have heard that it really does work and would like to try it myself to see if it really does take the pain away. Hey you have nothing to lose try it.

Yes my dear pal !!!!!

You can go ahead in undergoing treatment for the accupuncture.

it was my personal experince for taking treatment .

it is doing a better job permanently to cure the problem.

there is no intake of medicines or some thing like that.

Do you know pal what the accupuncturist main goal is?

It is reach a disease & medicine free world in 2020.....

As concered to India if the Govt spends just 1 % to accupuncture we will gain around 20 - 30% of the amount that our country is paying for the medicines ......

and later we can achieve a disease & medicine free world...

so lets join their journey to achieve the goal.
