Every summer we always get ants in our bathroom. We have tried bombing the house with those ant-b-gone products and have tried the ant traps, nothing seems to work. We keep it clean, so it's not that its dirty. I was wondering if anyone has any home-remedies that may help in keeping the ants away?

Mix a solution of vinegar and water/ the better part vinegar in a plastic spray bottle. Spray floor and base boards with it and counter tops, this works pretty good, but may have to be repeated ongoing. Plus vinegar is good for disinfecting areas too.

Another solution is to wipe down baseboeards, counter tops with Javex. This too is ongoing and needs to be repeated every so often.

Unfortunatly it is the weather. I suggest using a little ant spray across the door frames, around toilet, sink pipes. Even this doesn't work always. I think it is just one of those things that home owners just have to stay on top of.

There is a device that you plug into a wall outlet. It emits a really high frequency that keeps ants and other pests away. Works extremely well. Its clean and maintenance free. You can find it at a Lowes, Home Depot, or Walmart. Not very expensive either. 10 bucks?

No doubt about it... they have worked for me many times.

Hope that helps.

The most success I've had is with this stuff called "Terra". When you first put it out, you'll get unbelievable numbers of ants, but then they'll start fading out as they take it back to the nest and start dying off. Ugh.

lol!!!this is fuuny but it works
frist you have to get a wet toliet paper and wipe the ants away
then you get a glue stick[strong]and fin the ant hole and you glue it against it...the ants will notice that the hole is filled so they go some where els.

A paste made of peanut butter and borax will kill them - it's what's in most commercial ant traps.

You might want to figure out where they're coming in and caulk it off.

Dry grits....They carry them back to their nest, the other ants eat them and die. Should get rid of the whole nest.
