Someone I know is preggers and I want to make her a CD about bubbies and pregnancy
I already have "Arms Wide Open", and there's a song at the edge of my mind, something about sunshine, or something... My dad used to play it for me...

Okay, now she's out of the room, I can say it - It's actually my mum that's having a baby, I'm not supposed to say anything about it because she doesn't want to "jinx" it
Plus I don't want to spoil the surprise by letting her know I'm making the CD

I don't like having to choose a best answer for this one so just all vote for your own answers or which ones you thought were good. I like bits of all of them :-)
I'll post a list of all the songs I put on the CD in the comments of the "best answer" once I finish it.

"New Year's Baby" (First Lullaby) & "December Child" are two beautiful songs by Cyndi Lauper. She also sang "I Want A Mom That Will Last Forever" on the Rugrats in Paris soundtrack. Hope these songs help!

Aaah. That's a really lovely idea.
Unfortunately the only songs I can think of at the moment are "when a child is born" and "up the junction" so I'm not much help. I bet there are loads of good ones though.

you employ the word "nappies" (British) truly of "diapers" (us of a). If that's certainly the word contained in the song then it can be a uk singer -so likely no longer really usa yet selection-human beings. then you definately element out "promenade evening" which isn't a British custom. different songs in this vein comprise: Gene Pitney "someplace contained in the country" Madonna "Papa do not carry forth" Did you examine out the Juno movie soundtrack?
