Depends. If it is a good one like, hi my name is... then yes. If it is something cheesy, like the kind people think of when discussing pick-up lines, then no.

I happen to think they do sometimes. There have been a few times someone has rolled up to me at a bar and used one. I say go for the cheesiest available and own it. Just don't take yourself too seriously. Remember the point is to be clever and funny not serious or raunchy. Oh and try to use one that has not been done to death. I think that in the arena of pick ups... There is something and someone out there for everyone!

I have seen some of the dumbest things work and some of the most clever fall like a rock.

Nope, its' never worked on me, to win my heart you need to be yourself, but I don't need anyone else to win my heart, I've already got the man I want. Most pick up lines make you look stupid.

No.. It's the aproach that works...If you are not confident withyourself you will shy away or just BOMB out.. No one is afraid of a confident person..At the LEAST, "YOU" could walk away with a new friend.

they work for me. i think it takes a lot of guts for a guy to walk up to a girl and say anything in general. if a guy can do that, they at least deserve some respect.

Depends, but it's a big risk. They can get a conversation started, but you can blow it with a bad delivery. I think it's better to use "normal" banter.

I don't think they actually work, but they do start a conversation.
