At first Community Psychiatry sounded like the concept of "taking a village to raise a man." But searches on Yahoo reveal many Mental Health departments call themselves "Community Psychiatry Programs" but they are not different from other Mental Health departments.

The third link is to a book that is suggesting that Mental Health Professionals band together to lower overhead costs, like Law firms and other professionals. Health Professionals have done this for all time, I think. It is not uncommon to see a practice of G. P.'s, Dentists or OBY/GYN's etc.
