Lack of a connection with the love of God in a person's heart. When people don't have a spiritual understanding of the human condition they feel that life is unfair and that other people are to blame. So instead of working as partners with God to rescue lost sinners they go in the opposite direction and do the work of Satan whom Jesus said was a murderer from the beginning.

The mind of a "hater" is focused on their temporal circumstances and their desires for pleasure and the things of this world. They don't have any hope that extends beyond this life and so they feel desperate and insecure when things don't seem to be going their way. This results in feelings of frustration, then anger that leads to hatred.

James 4:1 What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? 2 You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. 4 You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world--the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions--is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

I think hatred stems from many different sources. Misunderstanding, jealousy, and fear are the three main reasons for hating most things in life. The human race has proven through history that we tend to fear that which we do not understand. In the same aspect, jealousy can drive us to covet that which we dont have, and become enraged at those who flaunt the fact that they have what we desire. Hatred is an emotional response, and being so, makes it an individual choice.

There are many causes of hatred but one for sure is ignorance. Some people just don't understand that there is a huge World with many different cultures beyond their own borders or particular way of life from lack of proper education or thinking that everyone should be the same as they are.

Hate or hatred is an emotion of intense revulsion, distaste, enmity, or antipathy for a person, thing, or phenomenon. It is generally attributed to cause a desire to avoid, restrict, remove, or destroy the hated object.

Hatred can be based on fear of an object, or past negative consequences of dealing with that object. Hatred is often described as the opposite of love or friendship; others, such as Elie Wiesel, consider the opposite of love to be indifference. People may feel conflicting and complicated emotions or thoughts involving hate, such as love-hate relationship.

Often "hate" is used casually to describe things one merely dislikes, such as a particular style of architecture, a certain climate, one's job, or some particular food.

"Hate" or "hatred" is also used to describe feelings of prejudice, bigotry or condemnation (see shunning) against a person, or a group of people, such as racism, and intense religious or political prejudice. The term hate crime is used to designate crimes committed out of hatred in this sense.

Hate is often a precursor to violence. A populace is sometimes trained via political propaganda to hate some nation, faith, or political regime. Hatred remains a major motive behind armed conflicts such as war and terrorism.

Other causes
Hatred may be also caused when one experiences trauma/embarrasing situations made by others. Someone might cause the a certain discomfo SRST rrt and the victim feels a certain anger toward them. This sometimes results to a revenge.

Bad parenting. People tend to like or hate the people their parents like or hate, it's how they're raised.

The most heartbreaking thing I ever saw was a news story about a Klan rally, and the had all the kids up on a stage wearing little hoods and robes. It made me sick to my stomach that these children were being tought how to hate before they're even old enough to understand why it's so wrong.

I've always thought that hate is an irrational fear of something or somebody.

People, rather than trying to identify why they're afraid of something, use poor logic to justify a fear. This manifests itself in hate. Such as "I hate Muslims because they're all terrorists!" Not only is this not true, but it's irrational.

Of course there's no problem with genuine fear...or a real threat. A terrorist on board your airplane is a real threat and you're not unjustified to be afraid. But this is real fear...not hate.

I "somewhat" agree with Martin S. I believe that uncontrollable anger is to blame, by whatever means. I'm not very religious, but I have a good sense of Caring and Respect for others. I get very angry when I notice other people not doing that, and, therefore, become hateful....I think this is true with a lot of ppl. Then we call them a..holes or bitches. True?

Hatred....hmmmm is caused by a fear which is inherent in human nature but nt impossible to free oneself from. well like in general fear can be biological or psychological, if we r afraid of snakes we hate them as simple as dat or we fear the terrorist because we're physically insecure so we hate them or we hate our classmate because we might be jealous or fear that she is liked by all n we are d ignored lot. so as far as i feel fear breeds insecurity which in turn results in hatred.
