I saw it somewhere and it`s back was black and curved. It was acoustic and it had a unique sound.

Ovation invented it and they licensed the tech to Applause for budget models. The guitar has a composite back and a spruce/cedar top.

They've been very popular for years because the shape of the bowl projects fairly well without feeding back when amplified. But a lot of players just don't like the sound of the composite material. In my opinion, it's a bit brassier than an all wood guitar.

Rainsong has done some work with carbon fibre bodies in traditional shapes, but I've never been a fan of them. It's just not natural sounding to me.

semi-electric. it is usually black and not smooth. it has a built-in pick-up and u can plug it on your amplifier. sounds good
