Ouch!

I have the same problem. If I wear artificial earrings, my ears go red and itchy like crazy!

I found that painting the earring including the earring post with clear nailpolish works everytime! Just make sure you cover every part that will come in contact with your ear.

It also works on plated jewellery that you don't want to tarnish, like rings or bracelets etc.

Good Luck!

There's really no cure for this except to avoid wearing artificial stuff...I have an allergy to artificial earrings too so I either wear 'em in gold or silver or look for artificial ones but gold plated ...they are cheaper and don't hurt as long as the gold polish lasts...If u don't find these in the markets, ask a nearby gold jewelery if he can polish some artificial ones for u...take care!

There is a product line called Sensitive Ears. It sounds like you are having an allergic reaction to the nickel in cosmetic jewelry. I had the same problem and tried these and it worked out great. They have some really nice styles and reasonably priced. They used to carry this line in Walmart, but the only place I know of now is Harmon Discount. If you don't have one near you, you can shop on their site: www.harmondiscount.com. Hope this helps you.

R u sure u can't afford silver?. Cos my friends sister has the same allergy as u described and she wears loads of silver. I think 1 pair of silver studs will be around 1.50 pounds or around 100 in indian rupees. U get them in nice shapes n all. Or u could jst buy a nise dangly pair of makazite earrings they look really classy

You can probably go to a reliable piercer's shop and they can help you. Most places only carry high quality ear rings, and you don't have to have stretched lobes. If they don't carry small ear rings then they will probably know a place to order them from.

if you like long earings you could just remove the piece that goes through your ear and put it on a sleeper earing ( it round ) or go to a bead shop and buy sterling silver findings ( the hook for peiced ears ) and put your dangles on the hooks
