Right hand click the icon that starts the program and select properties, under Run select either "Normal Windows" or "Maximise"
If you select normal window it will open the size you left it at the last time you closed down. To manually expand the windows double click the blue bar right at the top of the window, or left hand click and hold the bottom right of the window and open it up the the required size.

Your Microsoft virus magnet has reset it's video default screen resolution settings!

Typical for Microsoft... there are 800 other OSes, which are actually FREE, and in which you can change the resolution, on-the-fly!

My favorite is http://pclinuxos.com that boots in the CDrom, loads into a RAM disc, and has 5,000 games, programs, applications! ALL FREE!
