I have one fish in the tank which has popeye which wont go away but is not effected by the disease, but i want to add another fish! will the other fish catch pop eye too?

yes he will.If you only have the one fish ,you need to medicate him.Prima-fin(i think) , its in a cobalt blue bottle, works great. Important to follow directions! If you have more than one, get "popeye" guy in a seperate tank and medicate. Then get your new fishies!
