It is up to the individual. Pain physical and emotionally can make one stronger by overcoming it, life lessons aren't always pain free. Now severe pain can damage a person if they choose to be crushed damaged and wallow in it. There is always a choice and way to overcome and heal and that is what makes someone stronger

I guess almost everyone can undergo physical pain but where emotional pain is concerned it is quite tough. It mostly depends on the individual. If your are tough then you are able to handle it and if you are not you are unable to. But pain is a thing that we have to live with be it physical or emotional.
Best thing is to keep smiling and do not be too sensitive. Be tough.

it makes you stronger, if u can deal with the emtional pain of something horrible that has happened then its a learning process.physical pain... may damage you but when you recover you will look at things in life differently. I recently had a friend who was nearly killed in a car accident now that he's body has recovered he values his life more.

If the pain goes you might think that it made you stronger but it's a lot more difficult to think that when you have the pain

It depends upon the person who experiences the pain. If the person is the tough kind, who learns from his/her mistakes, then it will make him/her stronger. Now, if the person is the weak kind, he/she will surely get crushed by his/her self-pity.

That all depends on how strong we are to begin with. How we deal with it is what either makes some stronger or if not dealt with right will destroy some.

Whatever doesn't kill us makes us stronger.
It's a good question because a lot of people don't realize that growth and character development require stress and pain.
If you go through life trying to avoid trouble then you will end up being weak and ineffectual.

It certainly makes you tougher. But too much of it can also make you bitter. It all depends on how you cope with it. A lot of it is in your brain. Remember, that is where you experience it. And remember, you have the ability to withstand a lot more than you think.

It depends on what IT is and what YOU are. It depends on the amount of pain and your reaction to it. Pain is like heat in the tempering of steel - given in the right level, it makes it harder but if you are rubble, it incinerates you.
