I have a problem of dryness of discomfort and itching.
I have been to my doctor and given me Ortho - Gynest cream.
My hormone level is normal, but there is side effects of long term use of this cream. Is there a more natural way? Any products safer and natural?
And any ways that might help the discomfort and itching.

Try Replens and ignore answers from those who don't know what they're are talking about! It works great!

Firstly, stop worrying. Your boyfriend won't leave you because of this, and if he does, you're better off without him. I know you said you don't like using lubricants, but they will be good to use FOR NOW, until you find the cause. I recommend astroglide or K-Y Jelly, they are good water-based lubricants which are very effective. Does your boyfriend do enough foreplay? As a test, when you both next have sex, make sure you get enough foreplay - when you are really eroused you create more lubrication. Only other thing I can suggest is seeing someone experienced in this kind of thing who can give advice. It could well be caused by the medication you are taking, or your kidney/badder issues, so ask your doctor about that. See sources below for a google link with some websites containing information.

For the dryness, I would suggest K-Y, or a simular product. It's safe and effective.
I am more concerned with the itching. If you douche on a regular basis, this will cause your symptoms. Don't do it!
If your hormone level is normal, I would be concerned about the cream, also. Vagisil works for "outside symptoms" but does little for the inside. I would look for a good gel based cream.
Good luck, I know it must be nervewracking!

KY is okay, it's the most trusted lubricant but I'd say, be very careful of what you use - you don't want to cause irritation and thus, thrush.

Get yourself some Evening Primrose Oil or Starflower Oil capsules and, if you're lucky enough to be in the UK, Tesco makes one with both!!!! This will keep your ovaries etc. healthy.

Do you tend not to have a lot of fat/oil/butter in your diet? We need those oils...

Don't douche, don't use powder or soap down there.

For the itching - sounds like dry skin cells - get some Vit E cream - it's very rich.

The #1 hormone - because it can affect the production of all the other hormones - is insulin. You may want to ask your doctor for a fasting insulin blood test . Ask for a copy of your results. 10 or higher is abnormal for an adult.

Your symptoms could be related to low blood sugar or a systemic yeast infection. The dryness and itching sounds more like yeast - the relative low hormone level to high insulin or low blood sugar. You may want to check out www.hufa.org, and click on the symptoms link to check yourself out. The yeast link is on the welcome page - cause yeast likes bodies that are blood sugar imbalanced.

Try KY for the dryness, its the best on the market, for the itching, ur not using scented toilet paper by any chance? only i had awful itching for months and i finally figured out it was the scented toilet paper, once i changed the itching stopped, dont assume both symtons r related. Try ur local library, theres some really good books out at the moment on how to approach and go through menopause naturally that might answer ur questions. good luck

Try to avoid all soaps, bubble bath , anything that contains fragrance or synthetics/ chemicals. Also if you have a bath keep the water just warm, not hot.

Starflower capsules are supposed to help.

I hope your doc checked you for thrush? (maybe worth asking)

I recommend Pre-seed if you need lubrication - it is fab and totally suitable for sensitive skin. You have to get it off the web tho, i haven't found a store in the uk that sells it.

A warm bath with 4-5 drops of lavender oil (nothin else) usually does a fantastic job! Hope this helps
