a while ago I bought a pair of shoes that I had been lusting after for a long time. They were on sale, only one pair left in my size, and they were only 7,50! (from 80 I think they were originally).
I didn't even have to try them on, (did that before) I took them home with me immediately.
There I found that that they had given me two left shoes.
I phoned the shop and they told me that that sometimes happens, the get an odd pair, and that I could return them and have my money back.
Could they not get a right shoe from somewhere?
No, they couldn't, they were very sorry.
I can't think of a more tragic thing than that.

When USA pounded Japan with Nuclear bomb, at Hiroshima and Nagasaki could be termed one of the biggest tragedy in Human history.
Because before that, nobody has tasted a nuclear strike before, but after that point of world war II, nobody till date has dropped another one. Nobody dares to.
So, this tragedy has also given lesson to humanity to be tolerant.

I think the biggest tragedy is the fact that Mankind will never learn its lesson. As history passes we see Great civilizations rise...then fall. The Greeks,Romans,Egyptians,French,English all get so big and thier lust for power grows and grows until they eventually fall. And then when they look back and see what they have accomplished all they have left are a bunch of cool buildings and a whole lotta blood.

There are lots of tragedies through history: (not in any order)
- Plague
- History of the Jews (persecution, holocaust)
- Beslan school hostage crisis
- All of the wars through history
- Atom bombs being dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki
- Any natural disasters, tsunami’s, hurricanes, earthquakes
- Chernobyl plus any other nuclear disaster
- 9/11
- Space shuttle disasters
- Slavery
- Droughts
I can’t think of any more, but there lots more left.

The Chernobil accident.
The accident was so big that can,and it will, destroy and radioactive the whole world. The builders made a big "garage" above the Chernobil radioactive factory so that those radioactive materials cannot get out.But in next few years the "garage" may crash down.I must tell you that the radioactive materials in that "garage" are 1000 times bigger than the explosion of Chernobil accident so we must be careful with that...this accident was reported as one of most shocking in the world.
The war.
The war is on of the biggest tragedy in human history. The war killed many peoples(I don't know the real number). Many innocent and many childs died...the biggest tragedy ever!

The Atlantic Slave Trade and not only were European nations allowed to enslave former kings and steal their labour, land and resources, the United Nations have never tabled those human rights' violations against those nations. The sad thing is that the nations that did such are the most vocal in the U.N against perceived human rights violations.

Look on the bright side,
. . . among billions of years and billions of planets behind us, we are unique. A fascinating species evolved from possums after dinosaurs were wiped out !
We have the potentials to reach other planets, create energy from water, love selflessly, and heal our mistakes.
You can help.
