Which isn't in international waters, does it mean that I can keep it as my own and then make all the rules and laws. For example if someone comes onto "my" Island and I shoot them dead, who will prosecute me?

If you want to make your own rules and set up your own kingdom, you will have to have an island which is not a part of any other current nation. Any island under any protectorate will also be subject to the rules of that nation. It is my guess you will be prosecuted by those laws, unless they choose to execute you without due process.

If the island is not in international waters, then it would in fact be located within the boundaries of one country or another. Therefore, you would be bound by the laws of that country.

Were the island located in International waters, there are also laws which govern acts taking place within International waters. There are no places on the planet without law.

If the island will not be in international waters, then the laws of the jurisdiction apply in which the island is located.

Bottom line is: You would be prosecuted.

It reality, it is very unlikely that such an island exists. I'm sure some country has claimed the island and you would be subject to the laws of that country.

just tell me where you are and i will come over and prosecute you!! i would also be your attorney. and the judge. so if you killed a guy i would argue for and against you and then dicide that you shall be banned from the island and keep it to myself!
