I got the plastic door lock stoppers off our Citreon ZX, but I can't get the damn things on again. There's a little gripper that fits inside but it seems impossible to re-fit it. Anybody got any ideas / eperience.

And is a brainwashed mind the reverse of a dirty mind?

Sorry, can't help you, other than with the suggestion to kick it really hard. (what I usually try when something doesn't work. I never works, kicking) I was just wondering.

Ive had, and am still having the same problem with my 205, i took most of the dashboard off and can't get it to fit again(after hours of effort), after breaking my clock, speedo and fuel gauge, I still have a dashless car. Best bet with jobs that are so simple yet so frustrating is to pay a mechanic a few quid if you really want it that bad. Me, im just putting up with a scrapyard theme with my car.

use small flat blade screw driver and gently pry between colored plastic exterior and black or white plastic core the core will pop about 1/2 way out then you just put it on the lock stem and push down [this will engage the grippers that hold it in place]
