Contact the prosecutor's office. You should be able to do it yourself. It is just a form and there is a filing fee. You may have to appear in front of the judge to get the order signed, but it is totally something you can do on your own.

Expungements of criminal records really aren't that hard in California and you might be able to do it yourself. Most private criminal defense attorneys in California work on a flat fee basis and will begin work on the case after you pay in full. Call the lawyer referral service of the local county bar association to get an attorney referral. I've seen attorneys that usually charge around $500 per case for an expungement.
