after chewing, my daughter dropped the bubble gum into the velvet chair of our car and some portion got stuck

get a can of compressed air (like you use to clean out your computer) turn it upside down and spray a little of the liquid onto the gum it will freeze and you should be able to break it up and remove it (be sure you have the "straw" thing inserted into the can of air otherwise it could harm you ) You could also get some "dry ice" and place it on tthe gum to freeze it; but Dry Ice can be difficult to locate (Harris Teeter in NC has it)

I think I would go with ice, use ice, and then chip it off lightly with maybe a butter-knife, something that won't damage the material. Once you have it pretty well gone, you could find some type of solvent / cleaner at the store that is velvet safe to dissolve the remainder...if any. Ice usually works pretty well on gum, I have used it before my self.

The easiest way is to build a time machine and go back to catch the gum before it lands.

If that doesn't work out, you can always try using an ice cube to harden the gum and then pick it out as best you can.

Heat the gum with a hair drryer...I think it should come out...

put some more gum and stick it to the old one & try to get it out ;p

I'm not sure... but maybe try ice? I know it works for carpets.

use vinegar on it and rub fast with lemon and water to prevent any damage to color
