In France the government cancelled the requirement for road tax
(vignette) years ago, so whats going on, declaring a car off road & all of this nonsense in UK, its just creating jobs for the CRATS. Petrol is cheaper & diesel much cheaper than UK also insurance is about half the price than UK.

because the british people have allowed it to happen - all they do is moan about it but do nothing and just accept any old crap thrown at them by a succession of cheats liars and crooks who have formed the governments for the past few generations.

I think the more important question is why we tolerate higher and higher petrol and gas prices when the oil companies are posting record profits.

In theory, the taxes are going for social needs (although we should definitely be challenging the way Parliament chooses to spend our money, i.e. the on-going PPI nightmare). But the higher prices are just going directly into corporate pockets.

Somebody has to pay for the upkeep of all these illegal immigrants that the goverment let into the country to suck up all of our benifits and have access to our free healthcare, we motorists are just an easy target. As for insurance costs, it is estimated that 1 in 20 cars being driven on the road is un insured and all of the law abiding motorists in this country are paying for their accidents by paying higher premiums.
