Are you asking for old science books so you can use them to teach students? If so, there may be a better way to attain books. Old science books are not always beneficial. They may represent old and incorrect thinking or theories. They may be worse than having no science books at all.

Here's another suggestion: In American, books in inventory are taxed. Therefore publishers do not want to have a large inventory. This is a main reason why text books are so expensive. (If the books weren't taxed, publishers could publish text books in greater quantity and leave them in inventory thus reducing their costs.) Often these publishers sell the previous edition of a science or text book to remainder firms or just throw them away. Go on line and come up with a list of every publisher you can and write them and ask for their older editions. They might do this for the tax write off and you would get a better quality and more up to date science and text book. Even if only 1 out of 100 publishers is willing it's still to your advantage.

Find a few publishers lists below. It's just a start - there are a lot of publishers out there.

Good luck.

Go on the web and find out what companies publish science books. Contact them and ask for old books. I have had luck contacting publishers and just asking for books.

You could also research grant writing to see if companies would donate a lot of books.
For grant writing check out:

www.fastaid.com
www.finaid.org
These are just a few.

Why do you need science books so fast anyway??????
