So I only make 7.20 and hour but I love my job. The problem is I really feel like I should be making more. I start school for hospitality management in 2 weeks and im already in that feild ive been here for almost a year and I love it. My school is a half and hour away so I decided why don't i start looking for a job closer to school in between home and school with the gas prices and all considering. Night auditors normally start out with no experiance at about 8.50 an hour. I just got offered a job that still isn't the location I want but it's in the same feild making 9.50 an hour. I called the hotel and asked them about the personell that works there and she told me that the general manager is very sexist and will come to you with really dirty and perverted jokes but other then that it's fine. My thing is i love the people i work with my manager the owners the hold 9 yards i love it all. I don't know if I should take the risk and leave. Im just looking for opinions.....

It appears to me that you are in two minds from your narration. As a third party I would advise you to stick to your current Job and schedule for at least a year and then perhaps more opportunities will open for you.In the present situation do not switch over to other Job.God bless you dear.

Well the sexist manager at the new job would be enough deterrent for me. I would stay with my current job and keep looking. You already like it, why ruin a good thing. I know the new job pays more, but money isnt everything. Believe me.

hello chum, I actually have an similar one in my mailbox. It says it truly is from standard Chartered monetary corporation. the easy aspect is the contact man or woman on the Nigerian Immigration facilities, Mike Ademola. that's replete with the contract/settlement letter despatched as a scanned replica. I contacted Nigerian Embassy in N. Delhi. the in straightforward words words they uttered were, "it truly is a fraud. no matter if it truly is a job provide from Nigeria on the mail, then it truly is fraud." i am going to understand what u may be feeling. i'm particularly confident the provide could were for some lacs of money in accordance to annum. Dunno no matter if it truly is fake. yet no matter if it truly is. Then confident some outstanding artwork with the help of the lads. The settlement seems particularly nicely made. CA Vishrant

I would tell your employer about the job offers and how you've been offered 9.50 per hour, while telling him that your very happy where you are. Don't tell him you've accepted the job, just that you're thinking it over and want his advice. Put the ball into his court and if he wants you to stay he should offer you more. It may not be what you've been offered, but if it's acceptable to you, I would thank him and stay.

Perhaps you should just ask your current employer for a raise.
If that isn't a possibility then I suggest that you keep looking and try to find a job that you are more excited about.

Treat every job as a rung on the ladder. If you take the job, use it as a learning experience and move on as quickly as you can. But from what you say, you should stay with your school and see what happens.

You can search for another job, ,not in the hotel while staying in the job you already in..When you find this job, which you have known about well, you can leave.
