It is most likely that we are not alone: if, by laws of probability, we managed to exist, there is a great chance that, somewhere, a similar solar system, a similar Earth, a similar evolution could take place, at this time, long in the past or in the future. Thinking we are alone is rather silly.
However, our "neighbourhs" may be quite far away. The closest could be in Proxima Centaury, 4 light years away. I believe, however, that we would have found out if there is a planetary system in this close one, since we keep finding planets much further away.
Probably in this Galaxy. Most certainly in others. Some could be millions of year older (and more experienced) that us, Some could be just at early stage of development. Nobody knows yet.
As far as going there, as long as we do not invent the "warp drive" (or a way to travel faster than light), we are not close to go there or find other friends... (or ennemies as we tend to hit first and ask questions after)

It is theoretically and practically impossible to reach star systems that aree billions of years away through current technology. Wormholes, gateways that offer access to those star systems billions of light years away, seems the only way left although they require the existence of exotic matter which have strange properties indeed. I seriously doubt that we are alone in this large, cold universe but whether they have technological capabilities similar or greater than ours remains to be seen. actual the nearest large galaxy is over 2 million undemanding years away. a huge call 10 undemanding years from us is a neighbor in our galaxy. besides the undeniable fact that you do see that's position 10 years in the past. I has moved fairly besides the shown actuality that because the area is so large, it can be hardly ever significant to an earthbound observer yet is detectable. besides the undeniable fact that the prospect in distance could be nowhere close to some sunshine years. In 4 or 5 million years the Milky way and Andromeda galaxies will collide. even besides the undeniable fact that area is increasing, The distances between those 2 are fairly "close" in astronomical distances.

According to the String theory proposed by the scientist of Fermilab and Cern, the probability of having an extra terrestrial life in this world is high. This theory states that the Big Bang is not the begining of our universe.
Now, for your second question the answer is that the scientists who are employed in NASA are performing tests in order to invent antigravitational propulsion. With this invention man can move in space without fuel and the velocity of the shuttle will also be high.

I don't think that we are alone i.e. if not in this universe then in anyother one there may be some species of alien life form. Neverthless, there are evidences of life forms in this universe like that on mars, flying saucers etc.

We cannot travel billions of light years with current tech but may be in the future thru wormholes. Thru wormholes inter-galactic space travel cud be possible.

In theory, worm holes may exist in space that connect different parts of space, suppose you curve a piece of paper so that both ends of it meet right above each other. Instead of being at opposite ends, they are now right next to each other, a worm hole can "connect" both ends. If true, this may be the answer. It's unlikely that we are alone.
