When the sudden increased taxi fares & surcharge was first implemented, most of us can do very liittle but to accept it. We do at least expected better service from the drivers but it wasn't the case.Much to my horror most of the drivers have became more arrogant & rude!!Bad service is the last thing we need in Singapore !

It should be understandable for the taxi drivers that we are complaining because the charges are just to expensive! I mean the taxi drivers have no right to show their unhappy attitude towards us. We don't care whether they profit anything or not from the price hike. All we care is that higher prices means better services. And I'm seeing none of it from taxi drivers nowadays. They are rude, saying vulgarity words, which I think is really inappropriate. If they are unhappy, why don't they just hold a protest against their employers or just quit like in other countries? No offence taxi drivers, but this is just my opinion.

People are people no matter where you go. They're probably being rude because they're taxi drivers and they're not making one more dime, their bosses are. They're tired of getting yelled at about the increased prices and having their tips cut, if not cut entirely off, by rude and arrogant passengers.

George Bush is the last thing you need in Singapore. We're stuck with him here. I'll take a bad taxi service over a bad president any day. Count your blessings!

Meantime, bear with it because the taxi operators are applying to the LTA to open up for foreigners to take up this profession. Once, the foreigners become taxi drivers then the Singaporeans taxi drivers will have a very, very hard time. You can imagine, it happened in nearly all main cities in China. Coming soon ! look up for the changes.
