It's a lot more fun.
Some people don't use search engines and want you to do it for them.
You can get multiple answers and opinions.
You can find out which sites are the best.
It allows you to find out if we know anything worth contributing.
You meet new people and make friends.

because you get people's opinions here. and you can ask questions like surveys to see what others think, and learn new ideas by listening to others' opinions.
