Being extremely girly, I usually end up putting on some ridiculous music and singing (often combined with dancing) loudly to whatever the song is.
Good songs to boost your mood--
Barbie Girl
The MIddle
She Don't Know She's Beautiful
Crazy *****

Hi!
I know EXACTLY what you mean!!! I went into a wheelchair about 10 years ago, and shortly after that, my brother committed suicide! It has taken me YEARS to try to get over both issues, however, when I get into having a "pity me party", I try to remember the things I still CAN do, and I try not to focus on anuything I USED to do and enjoy. When I think of my brother, I try hard to remember the real good times we had. He was a very comical person on the outside, and he always made people laugh. THAT is what I try to concentrate on! When neither of those work, I allow mysewlf to HAVE THAT PITY PARTY for 10 minutes!!! During that time, I scream, cry, cuss, maybe throw something, and THEN, I go and wash my face, and FORCE MYSELF to concentrate on the positive things in my life!

i get a drink of water
i leave the room
and i go to the bathroom
if I'm eating something and the mood comes, i will also stop eating what i was eating,
i will spit out gum
i like to identify what it is that is that's getting on my nerves, if it is just how i woke up, i will tell my family that i need a few minutes cause i feel crappy, and they will leave me alone for a bit
i find that its my body's way of telling me that there is something wrong, and i need to fix it, i also will put 2 Tylenol or aspirins in my pocket but i don't take them, and it goes away,

Pamper myself a bit with a facial, padicure and manicure. Might sound a bit vain but really works for me.

Watch a movie that reminds me of better times. Seems cheesy but whenever I feel down I watch Now and Then. It reminds me of when I was a kid and had no responsibilities.
