Pour a capful of paroxide in his ear, let it sit, and then tilt his head onto a washclothe to get the paroxide out. It will loosen the earwax making it easier to clean out with a q-tip. And it feels gooooood :)

A few drops of baby oil might loosen thre hard ear wax. Never poke the ear with sharp objects or else you might puncture the ear drum.
Otherwise, a few drops of H2O2 or hydrogen peroxide 10% solution..
NOT the H2O2 for bleach!
H2O2 10% can liquefy the ear wax. He will hear crackling and popping sounds when the hydrogen peroxide starts to work. Then when the popping stops, he can let the ear wax drip out of his ear.
If that doesn't work, he have the earwax removed by an ear doctor asap.. Don't let it wait as it might lead to an ear infection and get worse.

Peroxide or rubbing alcohol- pour a little bit in the ear, have your friend turn his head sideways, and let it dissolve the wax... Also, at health stores, you can sometimes find ear wax candles- Don't get too grossed out, it's not a candle made out of ear wax. I've never used this method, but apparently you can place the candle (made specifically for this purpose) in your ear or near it, and the smoke or fumes will break down and clear out the wax.

Pour 2-3 drops of D-Wax in the night before going to sleep. Then in the morning clean it with an ear bud. Repeat it again if the problem is not solved.

You should go to the store and get a earwax remover kit. It has a bulb to suction out the wax after you place several drops of the remover into the ear and have your friend leave the drops in one ear at a time for several minutes. Then go to a sink and using warm water, suction out remover and wax out of ear.

There are also products that you can buy, over the counter, that are manufactured to remove ear wax. Ask the Pharmacist at your local drug store.

The ear candle works really well. You can usually find them at health/nutrition stores. I dunno why they are there, but they are. It will totally empty his ear of wax. And when you're done, you can open the candle and see the amazingly huge amount of wax that was in his head!!

try an ear candle. you seriously stick this hollowed out candle in your ear, let it burn, and it sucks the wax out. wickedly strange, but i think it works. plus it's sick and, therefore, fun.
