Obviously, i need to have the windows and door open in hot weather, but do i get an old net curtain accross the door frame? It's going to look silly!!

I know that many people, myself included love to have butterflies in the garden, but i would just like them to stay out of the greenhouse! They are laying eggs on my crops, and then the resulting caterpillars are eating them! I HATE hand picking them off the leaves - I hate the feel of their wee soft bodies!! Ugh! This IS a serious question!

You can buy heavy duty green netting which I think is used for putting over strawberries or seedlings , possibly to protect them from the sun. Your local garden centre will have some. What you do is 'sew' up a length of wood in the bottom of it, using garden twine, to keep it weighted and not curled up, then nail another bit of wood to the top edge and hang it or wedge it in the top of the door frame - instant (and appropriate) net curtain! Works very well on ours, we've had far fewer butterflies in the greenhouse, and it keeps the birds from bouncing in and damaging themselves on anything too.

You can get metal 'gauze' - you could cover the opening with this - or use fine net. (obviously you don't want to SHADE the greenhouse.)

OR maybe - if you planted some butterfly attracting plants right outside your greenhouse - they would stay on those & not go IN.

The other thing to remember is that you want your flowers fertilised - so you don't want to keep out fertilising insects - Bees, etc.

decrease Nineteen Sixties to 70 at maximum. they're cool water fish. i do no longer think of it may artwork in case you keep the eco-friendly domicile heat. If it maintains to be around seventy 8-eighty all year around you need to objective some tropical fish in there. on condition that IT maintains to be ABOVE seventy 8-eighty the finished year.
