People are basically greedy period. Yahoo answer is but a microcosm of the society at large.

I know. I think it is pointless and dumb. They are on here for the points, not the original thought of what this "ask/answer" is for.
Points are for fun and to "spice it up". To encourage one to answer.
If they answer "thanks for my two points". It is more like "I can't think for myself and wish I was smart enough to think of advice to give".
Honest or not, it is still rude and immature.

some questions have no point. or if they reported the questions they still want to answer the question with a sarcastic remark

haha..some questions cant be answered in any other way..and usually that question is so dumb that its a bit too hard to ignore it without saying anything.."thanx for my two points" is usually a way pepole tell the asker that he/she has too much time on their hands..lol..
