Well, I've never seen a plucked chicken actually, but I would imagine yes.

The reason, I've seen side-by-side a chicken skeleton and that of a compsognathus (a small chicken-sized dinosaur). The structure of the two skeletons are very, very similar.

Obviously, it's all part of birds evolving from dinosaurs like compsognathus (and other theropods).

Perhaps I'll go catch a chicken and pluck it now, just to see :-)

Come to think of it, yeah.

To be precise, they look like a beaked dinosaur hatchling - triceratops or protoceratops maybe - minus the frill, welded onto the body of a really, really, really chubby velociraptor, minus the tail.

If I was ever chased by one of these measuring 40ft in height, it would hafta kill me before I died laughing.
