My oldest is 15, and I go with her, unless she is going to have to get undressed, then I ask her if she wants me to wait out in the lobby.........AFTER...speaking to her doctor first. I believe in privacy, but I also want to be able to speak to the doctor too. I am paying an arm and a leg, and want to make sure the doc does things right the first time.

Never! Most doctors won't stop seeing a child unless a parent id with them. My nephew is 18 and he graduated from high school. But, before college he needed to go to the doctor. Because he was still on my brothers insurance him or my sister in law had to go with him still. So I guess it is when they have their own insurance.
