All you have to do is open your ears and your mind so you can understand it. Alot of what is being said is said in jest with a bit of truth behind it. For example. You may hear the term ****** AIN'T ****! (Sorry for the expletive, making a point here). This term has a dual meaning to it. One is that ****** really ain't *#@! but you have to understand what a ***** is to know that. The bottom line to the term is just someone (ANYONE) who is extremely ignorant. This is going by today's standards, up until fifty years ago it had a completly different meaning and used only by one race. To finish, nowadays the term is used mostly in jest, example, i'm black and I use it to show my disdain for ignorance by my own kind. BUT IT DON'T TAKE A BLACK PERSON TO BE A *****. Thank you. KGB

*chuckle* I may not get the nuances of some of it, but there's a lot to that strip that is more class-based than race-based. Plus, Michael Moore wrote the intro to the Boondocks strip compelation "A Right to be Hostile," so I guess you can be the color of unbaked dough and still get most of the point.

That's a damn funny cartoon no matter what your background. Their jokes are smart and relevent.

Oh, and Cyrus (the third guy who responded above who hates cartoons), you need to lighten up, man. It's just entertainment.

No because judging by your Avatar you're a lot whiter than me (I look more Hispanic) and even I don't get it -- I just throw it aside cuz I hate crap like that. I hate cartoons & comics cuz they shoulda been ditched somewhere between childhood & adolescence when you get too big for Batman, Superman, Spiderman, X-men, or Power Ranger undies & sneakers.

I'm black and some of the stuff they say goes over my head. In my opinion sometimes it's funny and sometimes it's not.
